Stone golems are soul-less statues, capable of moving and taking orders by the magical enchantments that the spellcaster lays on him.  In order to create a stone golem, the mage must first carve a statue in any likeness that he chooses (the mage must be the one to carve the statue or the spell won't work).  After the stone statue is completed, the mage will spend many hours enchanting the golem into life (for playing purposes, the mage doesn't actually have to carve the golem, but must only cast the spell). A golem that has been brought to life will take orders with no complaint, no matter what the order is.
