Summoning is one of the most ancient and most valueable abilities of Clerics, giving them the ability to recieve aid or summon enemies at any instance. The only way to stop from being summoned is to set your nosummon flag on by typing NOSUMMON (check to see if your nosummon flag is already by typing TOGGLE).

The 'summon' spell may not always work exactly the way the caster has intended. The targer must be specfied correctly, making a typo while casting this spell could spur your death very easily. Other common errors include: loading people that have the same name as the intended victim; it's an elven warrior, just not the right one!; a monster that once helped you does not appreciate the alignment change you've
made since your last meeting. . .; Draco is no longer online, instead you summon a draconian!

Monsters summoned using the 'summon' spell will not act the same as monsters summoned using the monster summoning spells (read paragraph below), they can not be ordered.
