Dexterity - is a measure of the character's psychical agility.  Player with high dexterity's will typically walk gracefully, rarely tripping, and many will take to performing simple hand tricks or acrobatics. They will also have a strong advantage in battle, being able to avoid many otherwise deadly attacks. Any players who choose to wield missile weapons will benefit from high dexterity.

Thieves must have a high dexterity, since the success of many of their skills depends on it. They must be able to move silently without stepping on breakable items, or clinking their metal equipment, and other sneaky tricks like picking pockets. Below is the percent bonus to success rate for many of the thieves skills.
