Casting Faerie Fire concentrates the electrical energy of the spellcaster's surrounding area and spews electrons at the target. The color, shape and intensity of the Faerie Fire is dependent on the spellcaster's level and how well he knows the spell. Powerful druids can cast forth streams of brilliant blue energy into a target, while lower level druids may conjure forth low energy, random sparks.

Faerie Fire was created by the kind faeries of the Dragonhelm Mountains many ages ago and it's knowledge has been circulated widely throughout the Realms, it's tome kept no secret by the faeries who created it, open to any mages that visit their city.  This spell is highly favored among druids.
