The spell 'color spray' is a favorite offensive spell of mages, producing almost the same amount of damage as fireball but costing much less mana, allowing mages to cast it repeatedly during battle.  The spell is cast when the caster utters the magical words, and envisions what his 'color spray' will look like.  The caster can form anything from a splash of iridescent color to a solid rainbow.
