The warrior travels the Realms in search of the next
battle, the next strange beast, for the nextbounty
from slaying a villain; the philosophies are left to the paladins
and psionists. A warriorcan easily raise amongst the ranks of society, glad
to show off their animal skins, valuableswords, and battle wounds, and
able to travel through the most dangerous,
monster infested lands with their superior
health. But despite their strength and skills, warriors will typically
be at a disadvantage when fighting against
a mage with powerful offensive spells.
Warriors can brave the dangers of the wild lands
alone, but will do best in the Realms if groupedwith
other players. They do best as group leader, since their strong
health will absorb much of an opponent's damage
if grouped as theleader. Warriors will also excel in clans, since they
can gather more gold by swiftly
killing more enemies (then most spellcasters) at a time, and also do well
at leading clan raids, and grouping with lower
level clan members.
The Warrior's Guilds were designed for non-spellcasting
adventurers who wish to train in hand-to-hand
and weapon wielding combat. Most Warrior Guilds are merely
places for warriors to gather and brag, the
greatest stores of combat knowledge are taught
in Training Grounds, but a few cities have
small and reliable Warrior Guilds.
